Huber Equity Group manages every step of the investment process with intentional planning and diligent execution. We are experts at identifying, acquiring, and managing multifamily properties and have a proven track record of finding exclusive off-market deals.

Joe Huber | Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Joe Huber is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Huber Equity Group. Joe brings more than nine years of real estate investment experience and has achieved a 100% profitable track record across 56 unique deals. At Huber Equity Group, he is responsible for client relations, reviewing markets, overseeing asset management from acquisition to disposition, and directing company values and vision.

Joe pushes his team to balance traditional best practices and innovative technological solutions to add value to every deal. He’s passionate about providing accessible communities to residents, value to investors, and stabilized assets to the multifamily industry.

Huber Equity group is committed to social responsibility and giving back to the community. Joe has mentored several young and aspiring real estate professionals and speaks at various real estate and non-profit events. Joe volunteers his time on a scholarship committee and serves on the board of a local non-profit that fights against childhood neglect and trauma by encouraging and supporting family stabilization.

Prior to founding the company, Joe was a partner at a boutique real estate investment firm focused on creative value add investments. Joe holds a bachelor of science in physics and business from The Ohio State University. He lives in Bexley, Ohio with his wife of nine years and their three children.

Alexa Lowe | Chief Operating Officer

Alexa Lowe is the Chief Operating Officer and is a founding member of Huber Equity Group. Alexa drives company operations and services by designing and implementing new business systems and processes. At Huber Equity, she developed an integrated operating system that has led to exponential growth in the number of acquired units.

Prior to joining Huber Equity Group, Alexa worked at Masterpiece Living, a boutique real estate firm. She focused on building and developing its construction operations to triple annual revenue. Alexa increased company profitability by implementing transformative processes to expand accountability and decrease overhead.

In alignment with the company’s mission and brand values, Alexa is invested in empowering others to reach their full potential. She has served and mentored youth through various organizations. Alexa is the lead planner and inspiration for Huber Equity Group’s annual fundraiser for My Village Ministries.

Alexa earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University where she majored in philosophy and religious studies.

Chris Homan | Vice President of Acquisitions

Chris Homan is Vice President of Acquisitions at Huber Equity Group. He is responsible for sourcing and acquiring all off-market opportunities. Chris brings leadership and accountability to every piece of the Acquisitions team at Huber Equity Group. His tenacious approach to evaluating potential MSAs to ensure each opportunity meets HEG standards for cashflow and growth. Through a robust process to evaluate potential assets, Chris ensures each opportunity protects the capital of equity investors while delivering safe and predictable returns.

Prior to joining Huber Equity Group, Chris spent 15 years building, developing, and leading sales teams across the healthcare, BioParma, and technology industries. By embracing a “people first” approach, Chris consistently builds winning teams, delivers best-in-class results, and forges meaningful partnerships with industry leaders. Beyond business results, Chris prides himself in removing barriers to success for his team members, empowering them to achieve more than they ever thought possible both professionally and personally. Chris takes servant leadership seriously and seeks to model that in and outside of the office.

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology and Business Administration from The Ohio State University. He resides in Bexley, OH with his wife of 10 years and three beautiful children. As a family, they serve their church and their community together seeking to be good stewards of what they have been given.

Chris Homan | Vice President of Acquisitions

Steven Hoar | Vice President of Asset Management and Finance

Steven Hoar is Vice President of Asset Management and Finance at Huber Equity Group. In this role, Steven is responsible for optimizing asset values and investor returns by implementing and adapting business plans in partnership with property management teams. He plays an instrumental role in supporting the company’s transaction closing process as well as providing financial reporting and analysis, internal control, tax, treasury, and controllership guidance.

Prior to joining HEG, Steven spent several years working in various finance and asset management capacities at The Champion Companies where he provided financial oversight as well as analytical support for the asset management and investment teams. He began his career in the banking and fund administration industries where he held accounting roles with Huntington National Bank and Citigroup.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Financial Management from MVNU, and he later earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University where he concentrated in Finance. He has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio since 2016.

Steven resides in Sunbury, OH with his wife and two children. Outside of work, he is a lifelong learner, enjoys exercise and staying active, and loves spending time with his family doing various activities throughout central Ohio.
